Trump has most likely had too many years of dealing with corporate espionage to not know how to flush out a leaker.
Trump has called Comey a liar. Since there were only two people in the room or on the phone, it is he said, he said. Trump used the "I hope there were no tapes" scam to scare Comey and it looks like it worked. Leaker Comey is now a pariah.
Well, a reporter asked Trump if he would be willing to testify under oath and tell his side of the story since he called Comey a liar. And of course, Trump says, yes, I would. I have to think his lawyer is none too pleased saying this before discussing it with him. Now Dems will be salivating going for Trump under Oath and asking any question they want to get him in a lie.
I’m sorry, but Trump should have been prepared to answer that question. Trump fell right into the trap again.
He should say, when they bring Lynch and have her testify under oath, along with Obama, then I will think about it.
Trump was vindicated yesterday and today he is willing to let the wolves go for his jugular with any and all questions now under oath.

I don’t know what all POTUS has in mind, but I do know that when the Senator from Iowa questioned Comey, he asked him if he himself had ever been an anonymous source behind any leaked information. Under oath, he said NO. Then he was asked if he had ever supplied information to someone else who acted as an anonymous source, and again he said NO. Both were lies under oath. Furthermore, I understand that Circa News is ready to break out with evidence of a very close and cozy relationship between Comey and Loretta Lynch. The plot thickens.

You’re over-dramatizing this. Had Trump said anything but ‘yes,’ to that question, the MSM would have had hysterics. As it is, Trump is obligated to nothing—zilch. He merely dodged another land mine with typical dexterity.

Yes the contradiction is glaring. Trump encourages the investigation so it finishes quickly and then they say he obstructs justice. Obviously they used the investigation to try to crucify him and to obstruct justice in investigating Hillary

The MSM would have portrayed that as a weak response and a dodge. Trump accuses Comey of lying under oath but fails to back it up by equivocating about whether he would say it under oath. So who do you believe?
It must be remembered what the Special Counsel is investigating: Russian meddling with our election and possible collusion of the Trump campaign with the Russians (not a federal crime). So what does it matter if Trump demanded Comey's loyalty or that he may or may not have said to let the Flynn case go? There was no obstruction of justice, otherwise Comey would have reported it at the time. The case continues and if you believe Comey, the investigation of Flynn is not related to the Russian meddling in our election.

There are no tapes and that will be confirmed shortly. This is he said, he said. A big nothingberger. The Special Counsel could require Trump to testify under oath no matter what he said. Trump will have his counsel with him.
