President Donald Trump 's outside counsel said Thursday that James Comey is lying.
Marc Kasowitz claimed the president never demanded loyalty from Comey as the former FBI director alleged in Senate testimony.
...
Comey testified that, at a dinner in January, Trump said, "I need loyalty. I expect loyalty." Kasowitz says Trump "never told" Comey that in "form" or "substance."
He also denied that Trump said he hoped Comey could "let go" a probe into former national security advisor Michael Flynn. Trump never "directed or suggested that Mr. Comey stop investigating anyone," Kasowitz said.
...
Kasowitz also declared that Comey "admitted that there is no evidence" of something he has never claimed in the first place that Russia successfully changed votes in the U.S. election.
...
Kasowitz claimed that it was an "unauthorized disclosure of privileged information" that "appears to be entirely retaliatory."
"We will leave it the appropriate authorities to determine whether this (sic) leaks should be investigated along with all those others being investigated," his prepared statement said.

“Marc Kasowitz claimed the president never demanded loyalty from Comey as the former FBI director alleged in Senate testimony.”
I don’t think he’d say that with such confidence unless if there were “tapes” of the conversation.
Then Comey is caught in his own BS web.
Comey the Homey picked on the wrong dude.
comey tried to play office boardroom politics with some one who has been playing the game for 50 years. trump I am sure can spot a setup and knew he was being played the moment Comey wanted to talk in private. I think the game Comey was playing was that of trying to get trump to panic over nothing and then get in trouble trying to cover up a scandal that did not happen.
Curtains Comey stepped in it — and he knows it.
I dont think hed say that with such confidence unless if there were tapes of the conversation.
************
The conversation probably was taped. But you would have to listen to every word of the entire conversation, some of which may have been very sensitive, to prove that it was never said. For that reason, Trump will never release the tape.
So where is the Tape?
All through the campaign, up until today; look at all the times Trump tweeted something that seemed off-the-wall, the MSMs had a cow, but eventually Trump was proven right; a la “I think Obama had my campaingn bugged!” And MANY more.
Mueller can subpoena the tapes. The WH has to hand them in.
If there are tapes like a fine wine get unplugged later at right time. Now it’s too early.
Even if Trump said he wanted ‘loyalty’ from Comey who is Trump’s subordinate, and Trump likely suspects Comey has leaked to the media to undermine Trump, it is totally appropriated and very lawful to ask Comey for his loyalty. There is no illegality here.
Yay!!! I’m glad you’re using it. Spread the word about what a scummy liar Comey is. :)
on the other hand, if Ccomey fabricated the story, then there wasn’t a leak...rather a lie.
Thanks to Avalon Memories for the above!
I’d be surprised if everything in the White House wasn’t taped.
But once you show there are tapes, the lefties will demand all of Trump’s tapes to dig through to take stuff out of context, etc.
There is no way Trump will produce the tapes.
It’s Over. Trump Comey thing. I know it’s over because the radio news on the hour and the half hour this morning said nothing about the interrogation yesterday.
The “hearing” obviously gave the dems nothing that they wanted, so the whole matter has been dropped.
