Yes, resources are finite.
Nothing wrong with giving priority to kicking out criminals.
It doesn’t take resources to end DACA. It takes a stroke of a pen.
And since Kelly doesn’t wield that particular pen, I’m not inclined to have a hissy over this.
Plus, this isn’t just “not kicking them out”, DHS is STILL PROCESSING. And not just renewing people who have DACA and are reaching the 2-year end date.
They are actually processing new applications, like 197 a week. So it’s not a “holding pattern” where we are letting those already under DACA stay, Kelly, at the same time he says Congress needs to pass a law to make this legal, is actively granting DACA rights to people anyway.
And since he is a new appointee, you have to assume that President Trump is on board with this.
