No-one likes Trump, I don’t care
Asia Times ^ | June 9, 2017 | David P. Goldman|

The US President is the first Western leader to stand up and announce that the whole sick business of terrorism has to stop. He means it.

When three knife-wielding Muslims charged into the Black and Blue Steakhouse near London Bridge on the night of June 3, they had the back luck to encounter Mr. Roy Larner, who shouted, “F**k you, I’m Millwall,” referring to the South London football club supported by England’s most notorious hooligans. Mr. Larner fought them off with his fists and doubtless saved many lives. Millwall’s chant is, “No-one likes us. We don’t care.” President Trump looks at the world in much the same way.

In his first four months of office, Donald Trump has made any number of false steps, but the actions for which he is most disliked have for the most part been effective and shrewd. His celebrated tweets about London Mayor Sadiq Kahn are a case in point. Kahn had told the press in response to a bombing in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood that “part and parcel of living in a great global city is [that] you’ve got to be prepared for these things,” to which Trump tweeted, “You’ve got to be kidding!”

European governments are resigned to a certain level of terrorism as the price of tranquil relations with large Muslim populations that harbor significant numbers of terrorist sympathizers and with Muslim regimes that support terrorist groups — Qatar, for example, which has backed both Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. Kahn was not condoning terrorism but expressing the prevailing view that reducing terrorism to an infrequent occurrence is the best that can be hoped for.....

First time I’ve heard about that... well, the MSM hates patriots.

Speaking of the malevolent MSM, don’t patronize the parent companies: Disney, Comcast, Time Warner, CBS.

The elites don’t like him.

He’s an unpredictable, American, winner.

He’s the antithesis of the leftist elites, world-wide.

I find Trump to be very Teddy Roosevelt.

Absolutely correct...and dont patronize the other smaller orgs who feather their nest while they spout “we love you” baloney marketing slogans (right or left...but especially the left). Or those who produce insipid propaganda news, movies and shows...

I like him. Have liked him since before he even ran.

I voted for him.

But I sure wish, he would get with the campaign promise he made, to bring back US jobs.

I like him just fine, however.

Best president we have had, for a long, long time.

‘Kahn had told the press in response to a bombing in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood that “part and parcel of living in a great global city is [that] you’ve got to be prepared for these things,”...’

It’s a bit problematic when The State confiscates all the weapons of honest and law-abiding citizens and then imports terrorists by the truckload.

I’m pretty good about avoiding politically hostile content. But what’s curious is the lack of attention given to the owning corporations.

Consider CNN’s ostentatious divorce from Kathy Griffin. CNN is a Time Warner property. Does anyone really believe Anderson Cooper had moment of integrity? I’m guessing the investors forced CNN’s hand.

Here’s a recent article concerning the AT&T Time Warner deal:

Trump’s pick to lead antitrust division raises concerns over vertical mergers

BY HARPER NEIDIG - 05/30/17 11:41 AM EDT

President Trump’s nominee to run the Department of Justice’s antitrust division said that vertical mergers, such as the proposed AT&T-Time Warner deal, can “raise competitive concerns.”

There was a meeting in Detroit that I posted about concerning at least ONE MILLION US jobs. Did you read it?

Nope.

Wouldn’t mind seeing that, if you have a link.

I like Trump (a lot) but I haven’t seen him yet, stand up for bringing back American jobs.

That said, I am all for the guy. And yeah, if you have a link to that, that would be great. Haven’t been online a lot recently.

Thanks.

We have increased 603,000 private sector jobs since January.

We have downsized government jobs by seven thousand.

Works for me.

Anderson Cooper’s mother is Gloria Vanderbilt (yes, those Vanderbilts) so he is probably somewhat of a knight rather than a pawn.

Alibaba?

The massive Chinese retailer Alibaba?

THAT is what you are saying, will bring 1,000,000 jobs to America?

Are you serious?

I was with you right up until this. Nope, China has been methodically taking jobs away from America for the entire last generation.

China is not the solution. China is the problem.

I don’t know.

Trump was really all about America when he ran. Since winning, he has been much more about involving us, just like the old gang did, with Beijing becoming yet another big competitor to us in everything.

I don’t like it. At all. We do not want to make China yet more strong, globally. We really don’t. We want to become stronger, as America.

Both parties have been sold out to China forever. Forever. More than one entire generation. EVERYONE has been selling out our very own country.

Trump seemed to be different.

I have not seen him different, yet. I am still waiting for that.

We are not doing well in global trade. Both parties have been completely sold out, on this subject forever.

I wanted Trump to be different. I really did.

I haven’t seen any evidence, yet, that he is. Still waiting.
