A transgender high school athlete beat girls in the Connecticut track state championship Tuesday, but his time would have placed him last in the boys race.
Andraya Yearwood, a freshman at Cromwell High School, placed first in the girls 100-meter and 200-meter dash finals against girls from other schools in the region, according to Turtleboy Sports. But his time would have earned him last place in both boys competitions.
Yearwood finished the girls 100-meter dash with a time of 12.66 seconds and the girls 200-meter dash in 26.08 seconds.
The last-place finishers for the boys 100-meter and 200-meter dashes, Shayne Beckloff and Terrance Gallishaw, finished the races in 11.73 seconds and 25.59 seconds, respectively.
It feels really good, said Yearwood to The Day. Im really happy to win both titles I kind of expected it. Ive always gotten first, so I expected it to some extent. Im really proud of it.
She has just been a member of the team running hard day in and day out, said Brian Calhoun, Yearwoods coach to the Hartford Courant in April, when Yearwood was first allowed to compete. It has been like every other athlete. We have a girl on the team who runs pretty quickly. And I think the girls are pretty happy to have a girl on the team that runs pretty quickly. It is going to be a positive thing for the whole team.

As of April, Yearwood had yet to have a sexual reassignment surgery or take hormone and puberty blockers.
The Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC), which oversees the states high school sports, lets the student and his or her school determine gender identification for the purposes of competition. The organization asserts that it is against state and federal law to prevent a student from competing on a gender-specific sports team that aligns with the students public gender identity, according to the Hartford Courant.
I know theyll say it is unfair and not right, but my counter to that is: Why not? said Ngozi Nnaji, Yearwoods mother, to the Hartford Courant. She is competing and practicing and giving her all and performing and excelling based on her skills. Let that be enough. Let her do that, and be proud of that.
Transgender individuals competing in gendered sports leagues have sparked controversies recently. Laurel Hubbard, born a biological male, won a weightlifting competition in March and Ice Wangyot, an Alaskan boy-to-girl transgender, also competed in a girls track race.
The Daily Caller News Foundation reached out to CIAC and Cromwell Public Schools for comment regarding the fairness of allowing Yearwood to compete in girls races but received no comment in time for publication.
So this is EXACTLY as many of us said it would be: athletically-inadequate boys are starting to "identify" as girls so they can somehow be "competitive."
...and the schlong didn’t slow “her” down a bit.
Parents need to pull their girls out of competition with opportunistic freaks like this. Let this asshole (yes asshole) run all by himself.
And if this pig was anywhere near my daughter’s locker room, I’d finish his transition myself and shove it down his throat.
In the end, liberals will destroy girl sports and scholarships.
The scam is out, all boys will identify as girls to get their advantages.
he runs like a girl
From what I could tell, his female competitors were very supportive of him, even to their own detriment.
A dark day for high school sports.
And the parents of these *do-good* girls, *loved* him from the get-go.
Stupid girls, spawn of stupid parents.
Is there possibly a more pathetic loser than a “trans” girl running to beat “biological” girls at track?
I mean, really.
Can you imagine what would befall one of those actual girls if she wasn’t very supportive of “her’?

A lot easier and safer than taking drugs. It has been very effective for the Williams “sisters.”
So wrong is so many ways. Sick world we’re living in.
I was athletically-inadequate in haah skrewel. There was no talk of becoming a girl (or even the thought of it). Looking back, I probably should have had testosterone supplements.
Fortunately, I am in the process of getting them now. Low T is no fun.
The Olympics disqualified a bunch of Soviet Block transgender female (?) Athletes back in the 60s-90s. Should give back those medals?
Maybe if more transgenders started playing in the WNBA, it would finally be worth watching!
Dhimmis.
Feminism continues to allow girls to be defeated by a young man.
I feel bad for all those girl athletes who work and train so hard to have to compete against a black dude with a mustache and penis
Just because no one will stand up and say NO
The whole movement crumbles when a xhe leads to (big-money) NCAA women’s basketball defeats.
Many real girls’ dreams crushed in the process, however, sadly.
