—while I understand that reactions to events such as this vary (and I have never been exposed to such), I have always hoped that the entry wounds in a worst case would be in my chest, rather than my back—
with all of this, I am reminded at once of General Patton who at one time said (I am paraphrasing here now) “when you see the guts of your fellow soldier blown to pieces and hanging all over your clothing, you will then know what to do”.
This won’t be pretty.
