I was talking to Andy Harris once and told him I was glad to be in his district. He said to look closer. His district bypasses my small town to protect the completely useless Dutch Ruppersberger in MD-2.
Maryland’s district map looks like someone projective vomited on a map of Maryland and after it dried, drew circles around the big chunks with a Sharpie.
....or dropped cooked spaghetti on a plate. The districts, however, are very carefully arranged to have Maryland 7 Dem to 1 Republican when the state is much less divided than that.
