They’d rather have it 8-0. Outside of the typical areas, Maryland has amazed me in how conservative most people are.

What kills me though is how easy it is for even conservatives to quickly fall into the trap that we need the government to do things that we could do ourselves.
My wife once had a conversation with a homeschool mom who really liked that the public school establishment could review your work.
That goes completely against all of our reasons for homeschooling.
Plus, when government is deeply involved, nothing goes on schedule. Our community is in the middle of a major highway project that’s well behind schedule with no incentive to get it done.
