Detention facilities are overcrowded, immigration courts are backlogged by years. Until new facilities are built and staffed it is not possible to hold and deport all those that need to be.
Illegals detained near the border, in the act of crossing can be deported immediately without a hearing. Illegals that have already had an immigration hearing and are under court ordered deportation can be deported immediately and they are being rounded up. Illegals that did not bother to appear for their hearing or renew legal status to be here are also deportable and being rounded up.
As for other illegals, the supporters of open borders are advising all of them to request a immigration hearing for the purpose of keeping immigration courts backlogged. Judges are being reassigned to hear those cases, and plans are to hire many more judges to handle those cases.
Previous administration closed detention centers and did not have enough judges, it was by design. President Trump is being fought every step of the way on border issues and has to turn the system around in order to effectively deal with illegal immigration. President Trump is being fought every step of the way by the dims and RINOS. The dims and RINOs have made this their hill to fight on.

You went to such trouble to put this up THREE TIMES...I figured I would help you out because you obviously FORGOT TO INCLUDE the LAST HALF OF THE SENTENCE, which changes the meaning of the entire QUOTED sentence a lot:

Putting up half the quoted sentence is not going to help the discussion or put a stop to Catch and Release which appears to be still occurring.
I’m sure saying “Jivanka” probably goes over really well in Democrat circles where they like to think of clever ways to mock Trump and his family.
Here on FR I bet I’m not the only one that finds it really annoying.
Even if you think the POTUS is giving his family too much access, you can be respectful in the way you state your concerns.
Personally, I think its a silly thing to worry about.
For one thing, even if POTUS took away their official job titles, that would not change a single thing regarding their access to their father. They’re his children for crying out loud. They can talk to him any time they want.
Secondly, Trump seems like the last person in the world that would let himself be “managed” or manipulated.
Thirdly, Ivanka and Jared may not share POTUS’s views on everything, but there is no indication they are out to thwart him, even if they could.
Finally, although you may think you are insulting Ivanka and Jared, it is really Trump you are insulting - with your inference that he is so weak as to let his daughter control his mind.

Lazy news is as bad as fake news, neither one is accurate. I am convinced news people have been so bad for so long now they don’t have a clue how to do their job.
We the people need to call them out on it and put the pressure on them to do their job. You would think their crummy ratings would give them a hint.

I am certainly happy that Interior Enforcement has resulted far fewer border crossings, however, to ignore the agents’ concerns makes no sense to me.
Though the part of the sentence you emphasized was a fact, it was misleading...to change entire meaning of the quote. You truncated the main independent clause and did not let any casual reader know there was more in the quote.
The main clause was not a a hypothesis—but rather a prediction from someone who is well versed on the subject, Mr. Judd, the President of the Border Patrol Assoc., an Assoc. that endorsed Trump and an expert who has testified before Congress...** From his comments, Mr. Judd and the agents on the border seem genuinely seems concerned about the progress on the border.
As Border Patrol Assoc. endorsed Trump, Mr. Judd and the agents are not trying to go against the President.
You state time will tell if the prediction is accurate...Well, if we pretend that everything is improving when it may not in fact actually be improving, then likely it will be very accurate.
Why not pay attention to Mr. Judd? IMHO We ignore Mr. Judd’s concern at our peril...BTW:

We can ignore these troubling developments also, or we can try to let our voices be heard.
I was wondering if the President isn’t concentrating on the criminals already here and that is why we don’t hear about the border as much. Thing is, how can they be vetted so they don’t get the chance to commit crimes here?
