The only shame is that will will be on the same page with Syria and Nicaragua who are the only two countries not part of this. Not exactly great company. The main reason I am hopeful we will be out of it, is because I think it is a money grab and we will eventually have to “help” the poor countries make their goals. I can see that happening and we can’t afford it. Now I think that the flooding in coastal areas need to be addressed....the forest fires need addressed.....and definitely sink holes need to be investigated and fix that problem yesterday. We can do those things without being part of a boondoggle that won’t fix a thing.
And the only three countries that survive the coming ice age are......(rim shot....)
Syria...Nicaragua....and the USA.
First, coastal areas have been flooding since basically the beginning of time. Sea levels have been rising in a somewhat cyclic but fairly constant rate since the end of the “little ice age”. There is no convincing scientific evidence that the rate of rise has increased in modern times. If you take into account the increasing ice in both Antarctica and Greenland... the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change prediction of about 10 inches in the next 100 years may be an exaggeration. I think somehow we will survive that either way.
Second, are you expected a big fire season this year after record rainfall all across the West Coast? Washington, Oregon, and California have all received more rain since October than has ever been recorded since records began. A regional drought in the Southwest which had nothing to do with “climate change” didn't help, but the primary reason for an increase in forest fires in the last twenty or so years was largely because of mismanagement of our forests.
And sink holes??? Now I have heard it all. Sink holes are caused by ground water and certain types of soil conditions. There is absolutely no connection between sink holes and “climate change. It doesn't surprise me that nonexistent “climate change” is being blamed for another natural phenomena, that is just the nature of our left wing media... but my gosh!

Multinational Banks and Corporations Trigger Immediate Angst Over Trump Withdrawal From Paris Treaty
EU as always has been a forerunner on a really failed policy. This from 2011:
But there are winners from this disaster. Along with traders, investment bankers and financial services providers that profit from a financial market created by government regulation, polluting industries have earned windfall profits.
Industries can sell permits they get for free at a profit. Usually, buyers are energy companies, which can pass the cost of buying the permits to their customers.

The people i n the poor countries will not benefit one iota- this whole scam is to line the pockets of the rich- the mega rich- they are heavily invested in this scam becasue it means huge dollars for them when the poor people have to fork over even more money to ‘pay for their enviro-sins’
No, the only shame is that we were in the POS to begin with, what makes you think that any of what you mentioned would or could be addressed by a firkin treaty? Other than the US & West were expected to pay for some boondoggle that will accomplish nothing, and retard our economies.
Forest fires & sink holes,Really?
The main reason I can see for staying in it is that it's a dangerous move to cede leadership of a global agreement that all but three countries in the world are in to China and Russia. In it we can mitigate the impacts to us. Out of it our adversaries can use it as a club to beat us with.
Sink holes in our area are from karst topography.
I would like to see more specific details on how “it is a money grab.” It was interesting that the most recent Madame Secretary episode concerned the need to fund raising our naval bases worldwide several feet to protect them from increased storms. Forest fires have definitely been worse because of lack of good management, controlled burns, etc. One possible cause of increased sinkholes if there are more of them now is that the limestone of karst topography is soluble. If there is even a slight increase in the acidity of rain that could be a cause. Any research on that idea? As a person in my late 70’s, I do believe that in general the weather in parts of the country I have lived in is generally warmer than when I was in my teens and 20’s, except perhaps in the summer.
