Trump should send it to the Senate and ask for ratification on an up or down vote that requires 67 votes for approval, I.e., treat it like a treaty. No way will it be approved. Trump gets a win without a political cost.

Of course, that's the way our system is supposed to work where it comes to such binding international agreements, but Emperor Obama thought that was a quaint idea, and that ALL power should be vested in the executive.

At this hour, it appears that the President is going to go it alone, and reject the Paris Accord by himself. That means he'll also shoulder the entire political cost or reward.

Trump and his people should educate the public on exactly what was in the agreement and why he is pulling out. He should also point to the fact that Obama did this unilaterally without consulting Congress,

The public is poorly informed when it comes to the climate change issue. The uninformed are so gullible that they will believe that Trump has set in motion the destruction of the planet by pulling out of the agreement and the Dems will fan the flames. Hence, this is why I would like a vote to put them on record. People like Mancin, Tester, and McCaskill who are for up for reelection in 2018 don't want to be on the record. Without a vote, they can declare that they don't favor withdrawal and that the US should make some changes to the agreement to correct its deficiencies knowing full well that is impossible.
