I’ll never forget him smirking on election night. Of course this was early in the evening and his smug pretense at being neutral etc. had me turning off CBS almost immediately.
Sorry I did that since I missed Pelley and Schieffer getting a long overdue dose of reality as the evening progressed.

I'm thinking that since CBS chose to fire Pelley while "he was off on assignment" (kinda like Trump fired Comey while 3,000 miles away giving a speech and kept the entire WH in the dark so no one got to his office but the Sessions Justice Department), if there could be a connection to WH leaks.
Pelley might just have been in deep with WH leakers, if classified information was handled by him and the Justice Department might have given CBS the option of cooperating, whereupon they cut Scott lose before he could "sanitize" his office, ala Comey's treatment.
I know nothing, just wondering because no network cares about anything other than stars staying put.

Last night the sub anchor said “Scott Pelley was on assignment for 60 minutes”. Not even a breath that he was fired. Yet Pelley spent multiple minutes laughing about the FOX firings.
