IIRC kinetic kill is what the Navy’s Phalanx gun uses to defeat anti-ship missiles. Tungsten or depleted uranium rounds.
Neutron devices were proposed as one component of Star Wars/SDI. They can be used to disrupt a missile’s guidance system. Not sure how much of a guidance system a warhead has.

A risk evaluation factor was missing, though. If a nuclear warhead did hit California, we might be able to replace the 9th circus.
My suggestion to fix the 9th, is to split it. When I say split it, I mean split the judges also.
Then fill each court with Trump appointees, at worst making them 50% Conservative.
The truth is, there are some reasoned justices on the 9th. It’s just that they are outnumbered. So in reality, we would wind up with majorities in each court.

Well, since you know it all, go get a job doing it. (I did, and I can tell you that you are wrong)
I never said I knew everything.
There is a difference between a 20mm Phalanx (CIWS) shooting hundreds of rounds to shoot down an incoming threat to a ship, and launching a single missile to intercept another by crashing into it. The chance of success are greater when you throw more at the incoming threat. Thus why I said the shoot a bullet with a bullet is stupid.
Furthermore, the ABM system of the mid 1970s was a two part system, where if the first missile intercept failed a secondary (Sprint Missiles) activated. The current setup is a one for one with no secondary line of defense. That’s straight stupid. You don’t take chances with incoming nuclear warheads.
