All of us have gotten things wrong since 9/11. But few of us have gotten things as disastrously wrong as May and Merkel and Hollande and an entire generation of European political leaders who insist that remorseless incremental Islamization is both unstoppable and manageable. It is neither - and, for the sake of the dead of last night's carnage and for those of the next one, it is necessary to face that honestly. Theresa May's statement in Downing Street is said by my old friends at The Spectator to be "defiant", but what she is defying is not terrorism but reality. So too for all the exhausted accessories of defiance chic: candles, teddy bears, hashtags, the pitiful passive rote gestures that acknowledge atrocity without addressing it - like the Eloi in H G Wells' Time Machine, too evolved to resist the Morlocks.
As I asked around Europe all last year: What's the happy ending here? In a decade it will be worse, and in two decades worse still, and then in three decades people will barely recall how it used to be, when all that warmth and vibrancy of urban life that Owen Jones hymns in today's Guardian is but a memory, and the music has died away, and Manchester is as dull and listless as today's Alexandria. If Mrs May or Frau Merkel has a happier ending, I'd be interested to hear it. If not, it is necessary not to carry on, but to change, and soon - before it's too late.

Steyn “gets it” better than 99% of the politicians.
At this rate Steyn ought to shorten his time table. I say , left unabated, in ten years, fifteen tops the Royal Family will be beheaded on the steps of Buckingham Palace. I’m serious. England is done for.
Steyn is a genius. None of the US commentators hold a candle to him. The closest ones are Hannity and Limbaugh.
Western Europe has already delayed facing reality too long and has pretty much sealed their fate. They have allowed too many muslims in and they will lose their countries and many of the original population will lose their lives.
Fortunately Eastern Europe is not following their foolishness.
Islam cannot be appeased, they view it as weakness and exploit that weakness.
Hijra is what is going on, the emigration to non-muslim lands to claim them for Allah (Satan).
This jihad has been going on for 1395 years at the command of their prophet and cannot end until there is only Islam or no Islam.
Denying reality will not change the goal of Islam, world domination. This is not radical Islam, it is mainstream Islam straight out of their “holy” texts. They intend to force the implementation of sharia everywhere. Or kill all who resist. There is no coexistence with people religiously obligated to subjugate, convert or kill the rest of humanity.
Mad Mo mad it so.
I just can’t feel sympathy for victims of Islamic terror anymore. Not when 95% of the public refuses to believe that the problem is Islam itself. Yeah, carry on. Nothing to see here folks.

I wouldn’t go so far as to call their god Satan because I’m not big on the existence of dieties of any stripe.
