Trump furious with Abbas: You lied to me

President Donald Trump lambasted Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, after the president claims the PA leader deceived him regarding his party’s involvement in anti-Israel incitement.

Trump met with Abbas in the PA-controlled city of Bethlehem last week during his two-day visit to Israel. The two held a joint press conference, at which time the president praised Abbas’ commitment to restarting negotiations with Israel for a final status agreement.

But according to a report by Channel 2 Sunday evening, the closed-door meeting between the president and the PA chairman was anything but cordial.

A US official present during the meeting claims the president expressed outrage with Abbas, yelling at him regarding Abbas’ claims that his Fatah faction was not involved in anti-Israel and anti-Semitic incitement.

“You tricked me in Washington,” the president is said to have yelled at Abbas, referencing the PA leader’s March trip to the US capital.

During his March get-together with the president, Abbas claimed he was dedicated to advancing peaceful relations with Israel, and that the PA was not engaged in incitement against the Jewish state.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu publicly called out Abbas’ claim, noting the PA’s continued material support for jailed terrorists and promotion of hateful propaganda encouraging young Arabs to take up arms against Israel.

"I heard President Abbas yesterday say that the Palestinians teach their children peace,” said Netanyahu. “Unfortunately, that's not true. They name their schools after mass murderers of Israelis and they pay terrorists,” he said at the opening of a meeting with the Romanian prime minister in Jerusalem.

Always start out positive, and then do to the other what the other does to you.

Now it leaves Trump free to lower the hammer on Abbas while giving a warning to the other states in the area that they better remain in good faith.

I said the other day, Trump gave Abbas a chance to lie to his face. No room for doubt or hearsay. Trump can now, without regard, dismiss Abbas full stop. The Palis have made their bed... shouldn’t have lied to this one. This ain’t Barry.

Wouldn't it be a rather obvious lie that the Palestinians teach their children peace, when anyone can look up the cartoons (targeted at children) which show Jewish people in much the same way as Der Sturmer did, and openly teach Palestinian children their version of Sesame Street-style songs, which extol the glories of being a suicide jihadist for Islam? I mean, they don't sugarcoat it one little bit, don't finesse it or utilise any "nuance", they use the most disgusting hateful language in songs for children. It doesn't take much to discredit this lie, at all, it's right there in their tv programming for children, and anyone in the world with an internet connection can look it up.

He meets with Pales. They make promises. Trump says, “Ok, we’ll delay moving embassy to Jerusalem. The Pales are ‘playing nice.’ (quote)”

Pales lie. Trump then says, “Oh, he lied to me. I’m outraged. Guess we move the embassy to Jerusalem.”

He puts it all on Pales-—the thing he was going to do anyway. But now he has a perfect excuse cuz they aren’t “playing nice.”

What I meant was that Reagan held to his mantra where all the others had various experiences with foreign leaders that led them astray, thinking they had a meeting of the minds when all they had was either lies or misdirection.

Seems like too many of our Americans, leaders and citizens as well, see the world and other world leaders as they want them to be, not as they are.

I think Trump is on the right track at calling them out. But as inthe case with Abbas, he may be taking them at face value to start. Reagan never did.

Donald Trump made his fortune doing business in Manhattan and New Jersey. He’s been lied to by expert liars and still made billions. If he lost his temper with Abbas it was for effect. Abbas is used to dealing with Americans who are too polite to tell him he’s a lying sack of s*** to his face. He’s never had to deal with an American like Trump.
