Hard livin.'
Not everyone is Keith Richards.
These rock n’ roll deaths are really wearing me down. The last 2 years seem to be particularly.
RIP and prayers to the family.
He was not exactly a shrinking violet.
Good music for good times.
RIP
I’m in the age ballpark.
Carpe Diem.
RIP

69 is too young to die. It does make a statement about the 60’s and the sexual revolution.
Rest well, Greg.
Oh I’m so upset....listening to them the other day.
Rock and roll heaven gonna have a helluva band. RIP.
Amen to that!
RIP Greg
Wow it has dawned on me that 2 of Cher’s ex husbands/partner passes.
An American original. Not an exemplary life, but one amazing career.
Pray he made The List. And his brother too.
I’ve been run down and I’ve been lied to.
And I don’t know why, I let that mean woman make me a fool.
She took all my money, wrecks my new car.
Now she’s with one of my good time buddies,
They’re drinkin in some cross-town bar.
Sometimes I feel, sometimes I feel,
Like I been tied to the whippin’ post.
Tied to the whippin’ post, tied to the whippin’ post.
Good Lord, I feel like I’m dyin’.
My friends tell me, that I’ve been such a fool.
But I had to stand by and take it baby, all for lovin’ you.
Drown myself in sorrow as I look at what you’ve done.
But nothing seemed to change, the bad times stayed the same,
And I can’t run.
Sometimes I feel, sometimes I feel,
Like I been tied to the whippin’ post.
Tied to the whippin’ post, tied to the whippin’ post.
Good Lord, I feel like I’m dyin’.
Sometimes I feel, sometimes I feel,
Like I been tied to the whippin’ post.
Tied to the whippin’ post, tied to the whippin’ post.
Good Lord, I feel like I’m dyin’.
Article on CNN:
“Allman died due to liver cancer complications at his home in Savannah, Georgia, and he was “surrounded by his family and friends,” Michael Lehman, Allman’s longtime manager and close friend, told CNN.”
Not a huge surprise. Greg has been in poor health since the Bush Administration, the second Bush.
I had a beer with Gregg Allman one time many many moons ago.
We talked for about 15 minutes between sets. I can’t recall what? Haha!
Although I do remember he did not act all high and mighty. It was like I was talking to a neighbor.
God rest you Greg. You’ve given me many road miles of good tunage, and your passing makes me feel a little older and and little more alone.
