Nearly two-thirds of Americans say the mainstream press is full of fake news, a sentiment that is held by a majority of voters across the ideological spectrum.
According to data from the latest Harvard-Harris poll, which was provided exclusively to The Hill, 65 percent of voters believe there is a lot of fake news in the mainstream media.
That number includes 80 percent of Republicans, 60 percent of independents and 53 percent of Democrats. Eighty-four percent of voters said it is hard to know what news to believe online.
“Much of the media is now just another part of the partisan divide in the country with Republicans not trusting the ‘mainstream’ media and Democrats seeing them as reflecting their beliefs,” said Harvard-Harris co-director Mark Penn. “Every major institution from the presidency to the courts is now seen as operating in a partisan fashion in one direction or the other.”

They’re right. What astounds me is the percentage who don’t think so.
They haven’t cut their cable, turned off the radios and listen to Conservative people...
Some have cut the cord, but that’s not a major factor.

Well, it’s true, isn’t it? The really sad one is the courts, which should be governed by the words of the Constitution and the laws the legislature passes, instead of partisan preferences. The left absolutely demanded extra-constitutional judicial activism from their judges, and it has ruined our court system.
The media, for their part, has long been a manipulative joke, but at least more people are realizing it as they see fake “journalists” seething with hatred and bias against Trump. Pathetically, many on the left actually believe the cock-and-bull nonsense the propagandists feed them, though. It does take effort to think for themselves, and some just aren’t willing to try that when it’s so easy just to believe what fits their preconceived fantasies.

Leftists have a different definition of fake news—kooky stuff on FB from Eastern Europe. They were careful to define it as such as soon as conservatives threw the charge at the MSM.
So true. And these institutions promote those who share their views and banish those who don’t.
