Amerprise available through COSTCO has excellent customer service, very competitive pricing.
I posted somewhere else that I just pulled 100 grand from their mutual funds.
Looking for other insurance companies, currently with Farmers. Thought of going with USAA. A mistake?
Thank you, RightGuy and Ladysforest for your suggestions. I will check them out.
Well, they are not nearly as competitive (across the board) as they were in the past. I remember when they couldn’t be beat! I did thousands of quotes for USAA customers, and we were lower about 5% of the time.
Their service is not done in house for the most part either - which is a pain.
I wouldn’t say to avoid them - if they quote you a very good rate, but they have become quite “socially conscious”, PC. That and the downturn in quality of service is troubling.
We won’t hesitate to jump ship, they have lost our loyalty. Our rate has jumped every year in spite of no violations and only one small claim - paid by the at fault woman who hit my husbands car in a parking lot.
From a thread yesterday: “Thank you for reaching out to us. Advertising on opinion shows is not in accordance with our policy and weve since corrected it.” That’s fascinating, since even last night, USAA advertised on Hardball on MSNBC, and how does the Chris Matthews record on helping military families match next to Hannity’s?
