A former Navy SEAL had a blunt message for singer Katy Perry over her calls for "no barriers, no borders" in the aftermath of the Manchester terror attack: Go to hell.
Carl Higbie hit out at Perry, criticizing her for not respecting American culture.
"You have people like Katy Perry, for instance. This woman has said we need to hug it out. Go to hell, Katy Perry," Higbie told Fox News on Thursday. "Hold one of your concerts in Syria. These people don't understand what's going on here."
Perry said in the wake of the bombing in Manchester that people need to come together, and that would prevent violence.

"Whatever we say behind people's backs, the Internet can be a little bit ruthless as far as fan bases go but I think that the greatest thing we can do is just unite and love on each other," Perry said during a Tuesday interview with Elvis Duran and the Morning Show adding, "No barriers, no borders, we all just need to coexist."
After taking criticism from conservative critics, Perry accused the media of taking her comments out of context but admitted she didn't phrase her call for unity "perfectly."
Perry was a fixture on the campaign trail with Hillary Clinton and has taken a high-profile role in advocating for liberal causes, recently appearing with Planned Parenthood head Cecile Richards during January's Women's March. Her latest album also features political overtones.
