I remember when women wore dresses and men wore suits and ties when flying.
The airlines have changed because the people riding airlines have changed.....neither for the better.
The worst part is that he was stranded in San Fransisco.
Why is this “news”? Because of the word “United”?
Rejected.
Ouch. Even first-class passengers are getting the “United Airlines treatment.”
I don’t get it... how was it moved from underneath his seat without his knowledge???
Hint for the day:
External and internal name tags on all your bags; business card on top of all your stuff just before you close your suitcase...
How could his bag be “removed without his knowledge” from under the seat? Strange.
He most likely had a bulk head seat which means no seat in front of you. The space underneath the seat you sit on is the place for the luggage of the person behind you. The flight attendant did not make a mistake he made the mistake (if my speculation is correct). UA then made a series of blunders. The FA sounds contrite but I had a different experience.
The passenger in front of me, despite not having a bulkhead seat and therefore having a space in front of them chose to stuff their bag at my feet ( they had to bypass a metal bar at great effort). I did nothing but when they left their seat I told the FA that the bag was not mine and she took it and placed it on the jetway and said, with a wink, maybe the person will come back for it. They did but too late since the gate agent took the bag and left. I pled ignorance when the passenger in front f me asked me about the bag. But when I asked why it wasn’t placed in front of them the reply was “I wanted space for my feet”. Sweet vindication.
The jerk deserves it. He should have kept his wallet and passport on his person, not in luggage.
Some people just shouldn’t travel.
