As a Latin Mass goer, I have to remind you that there is no “pre-Vatican II” Catholicism. There is just the Catholic faith. If you’re going to think along the terms of “true traditional (pre-Vatican II) Catholicism is the only true faith” then we’re all doomed - even those who attend the Latin Mass. Why? For the same reason a former SSPX priest said this to me: “Many traditionalists hearken back to a Church which no longer exists (and probably never did).” He was still an incredibly devout Catholic, a missionary really, who only said the Latin Mass, and yet he realized - just as the Church has always taught - that nostalgia is spiritually dangerous.

Either the Church and what it definitively teaches is the truth now or it never had the truth in the first place. There is no “pre-Vatican” Catholicism any more than there is “post-Vatican II” Catholicism. There’s just the Catholic faith. Period. God got it right the first time and it’s just as right now, only people try distort it.

Another so-called religion believes they are the only true religion. However, this religion has not gone through the Inquisition because they are still in it. They believe like the inquisitors did so long ago if a person does not repent and declare their soul by saying the shahada, then they should be put to death, eventually. Faith is man-made. Hope is man-made. Religion is man-made. Catholicism and Islam are both man-made. Jesus said to find God through him, not of him. Islam’s so-called prophet claimed to also be the intercessor for God. Jesus’ body was never found and yet the bones of their so-called prophet are buried in a mosque in the KSA. Jesus was a rabbi. Their so-called prophet was a social outcast at best and murderer when he was not having an epileptic fit. All religion is man-made. We all find God in our own ways. Don’t proselytize here and I won’t tear down the walls of your man-made religion.
