When Melania Trump recited The Lord's Prayer before a Melbourne, Florida presidential rally in February, the Internet went hog wild.
Now we know one reason why the first lady began with 'Let us pray' and 'Our Father who art in heaven' when she introduced the president that evening: She's a practicing Roman Catholic.
Her spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham confirmed that to DailyMail.com on Wednesday, hours after Pope Francis blessed a rosary for her at the Vatican.
The last Catholics to live in the White House were John F. Kennedy and his wife Jackie. Melania and her son Barron will move to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue over the summer.
Mrs. Trump did more than just show up for a Papal audience.
She spent time in prayer at the Vatican-affiliated Bambino Gesù (Baby Jesus) Hospital, and laid flowers at the feet of a statue of the Madonna.

What's the Bible verse in God's Holy Word that specifically says that?
Along similar lines, I wonder if her influence may be part of why Trump changed his opinion on abortion. It would make more sense than the hokey reasons he gave during the campaign and he is probably the type who keeps the deeper working of his thoughts secret so to not give enemies insight into his weaknesses. If she is perceived to be more influential than a trophy wife she would have a much bigger target drawn on her.
Catholicism is the only true faith.
“...there is no pre-Vatican II Catholicism. There is just the Catholic faith...”
I think you’re missing the message intended. It is like what were Catholics to do during the historical Arien heresy?
I would suggest they were to follow the faith as taught up to it, not as infected by it, until it was defeated. (Ask Saint Athanasius.)
when will melania and donald trump visit slovenia?
(yes, i want to see liberal msm heads exploding on live tv, lol)
You are confused and mistaken. The Catholic Church is not man made and your boast is absurd and pathetic on it's face.
Perhaps, if you are still sincerely searching "in your own way" the Holy Spirit will help you discover the Truth and without too much further suffering.
In any case May God have Mercy on your soul and the all the lost and confused souls like you that are mislead by Satan his demons and their human co-conspirators.
That’s a good one
“Because true traditional (pre-Vatican II) Catholicism is the only true faith.”
Possessing that level of certainty may be a an indicator that something is amiss. ...a “red flag”, so to speak.
Wisdom is being aware that there are limits to one’s knowledge.
Before Vatican II, we prayed for the intentions of the pope and the conversion of Russia. Now it’s the other way round.
“Is the Pope Catholic?”
The question should be raised, rather: “Can a non-Catholic be pope?”
The answer is fortunately a loud and clear “no”.
(That is why this website exists:

I honestly don’t know the answer to the question I’m about to ask:
Was this known before?
They were married in an Episcopal Church; was a priest there?
I don’t think it ultimately matters all that much, but this does raise the question as to whether they are married in the eyes of the church.
I’m not Catholic, but I’m glad to hear Melania is a practicing Christian. I have surprised and pleased when she recited the Lord’s Prayer in February, and I recited it with her. Again, not Catholic, but all Christians who know Scripture know the Lord’s Prayer.
Her father joined the Slovenian Communist Party, apparently for business reasons. Not sure if he still belongs, or if it matters any more, since he now lives in New York, but it would have caused problems for his business dealings back home, if his family were openly practicing Catholics. Given the liberal anti-Christian domination of the fashion industry, I'm sure that they won't approve, either. Thirdly, I suspect she may have feared it would cause problems for Trump's appeal to evangelicals, as well.
>Im not Catholic, but Im glad to hear Melania is a practicing Christian. I have surprised and pleased when she recited the Lords Prayer in February, and I recited it with her. Again, not Catholic, but all Christians who know Scripture know the Lords Prayer.<
Yes, I was thrilled to hear her praying in her sincere, quiet voice.
But the version she recited led me to believe she was Protestant.
The Catholics I know stop at “deliver us from evil”. Melania added the final doxology “For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory, forever. Amen”...which is the version Protestants use.
Either way, as I said, I was THRILLED to hear it.
Maybe nobody asked?
Thank-you and God Bless.
Her parents were communist leaders and tools of the former Soviets to push the USSR agenda. From reports, not definitive, but it appears she was not technically raised Catholic by her parents in the traditional sense. Catholic School or sent to get Catechism in a state (public school), baptized, first communion, first Confession and confirmation before she was say 16. It appears she adopted it personally later in life, but attends a Episcopal church with the President, who was raised Presbyterian, perhaps as a compromise, to attend some Christian Liturgy together. Perhaps she attends a Catholic Mass-Liturgy and receives the Holy Communion at a Catholic parish but keeps that to herself and out of the public eye.
I was very impressed by her decorum and mannerisms at the Vatican and at the other state visits.
Well said:
We should all cherish this time, because Trump's victory was a MIRACLE, disallowing Hillary/Soros' continuance of Obama's agenda of destroying America.
Amen.
