If I told you openly what I really thought of you, this post would be removed.

I don't know who pissed in your cornflakes, but it wasn't me. Just FYI, I am no native, but I have lived in CA for a total of 24 years, and 20 of those these last two decades. I have been gainfully employed the entire time and in any other part of the country my pay would be significant. In CA its getting tougher and tougher to justify. I have already made my retirement plans to move out, just a matter of time. I wont miss the taxes, gun-grabbers, illegals, and enviro-nuts. If you are a CA native and choose to stay, you probably benefited from owning a home that you bought 50 or 60 years ago, cashing in during one of the housing booms of the last 20 years, and retiring in a rural area. That's no reason for you to insult me. If you are like me and transplanted in at a peak market, you would see no benefit to paying a million dollars for a 1800 sq ft home with 6 feet between you and your neighbor. And you'd still be pissed to have to deal with traffic and pot holes and libs everyday.

FYI I am a CA native, been here for all of my nearly 77 years. And I did, by the sweat of my and my wife's brows, managed to build a nice home on 1.5 acres 35 years ago. And It has appreciated, and I have “benefited” by Prop 13 ( although it is a two-edged sword in that the only way you keep the benefit is by not moving). And it is sad that what I see today is a shadow of the California in which I was privileged to grow up. But all that aside, it is still a choice place to live, even with the traffic and the poor politics. We all have choices, you don't like it here, there's the door. But realize that there are few if any places in this country where the process that's taken down California is also operative You can't run away from what the Liberals (Communists in reality) want by way of transformation. And also realize that for the most part, those who have been the "architects" of this transformation have not been native-born Californians, a fact that is also true of the other two states on the West Coast. At this juncture, I am just fed up to my eyeballs with people like you who like to verbally crap on the place I've chosen to live my life. So yes, someone pissed in my cornflakes and It's guys like you and every other person who thinks he or she can blather about the "ain't it awful in California."
