I don’t follow Spicer’s remarks much, but he has a nearly impossible task with the hostile Mediascum.

Press briefings should be weekly not daily, with occasional special briefings when breaking news warrants. The idea that a presidential spokesperson should be bombarded with hostile questions “live” every day is a ridiculous one. It’s nothing but vicious libs trying for “gotcha” moments whether or not their biased questions are worth a damn. Of course it doesn’t work that way for the Democrap regimes which get mainly puffball questions from MSM scumbags.

But for any Republican administration to allow this kind of daily assault is just foolish. President Trump can take hold of this “tradition” and shake it up for the better.

He’s already talked about doing so. I get the feeling that he’s going to be giving the press a serious shake-up soon.

Weekly press briefings would be a mistake IMO. The MSM won’t stop with their anonymously sourced ‘stories’, they’ll just write them with a ‘the WH was too afraid to answer questions, so it must be true’ line of spin as well. Reducing the number of briefings reduces the opportunities for the WH to fight back against the lies, as well as explain the good things it is actually doing.

No-one does more to shoot down all the media nonsense than Spicer at the daily briefings. He needs backup is all. Assign one of his deputies as ‘fake news’ press secretary, and he can refer any of the media’s BS questions to that person so he can keep the briefing focused on the important stuff.

If the media still want answers to their silliness, they can stay behind and get it at a later briefing with the deputy.
