It’s the 21st century, nobody is keeping anything hidden. The real question is why should pastors perpetuate ignorance and not bother to see what’s going on in the class. And maybe they should bother to trust their own parishioners, if they say they aren’t worshiping Hindus then they aren’t.

Apparently it’s not possible for anyone to know who or what they might be worshiping during any activity or at any given time. For all any of us know we might be worshiping demons whenever we post on the internet.

The prevailing argument here is basically “Yoga is stretching, it’s not religion.”

This demonstrates an agenda to hide the religious identity of yoga.

And it’s practically unheard of for yoga instructors anywhere in the West to provide informed consent about where yoga comes from, and what it is.
