Fox News Channel is parting ways – again – with Bob Beckel, the co-host of its primetime program, “The Five.”
“Bob Beckel was terminated today for making an insensitive remark to an African-American employee,” the network said in a statement.
The dismissal opens — or perhaps closes 0- another chapter in an off-and-on relationship Beckel has had with the 21st Century Fox-owned cable-news outlet over the years. Beckel, a longtime political consultant as well as a former campaign manager for Democratic presidential candidate Walter Mondale, joined Fox News in 2000, and had a years-long tenure on “The Five” when it aired in the late afternoon. Indeed, he was one of the program’s original co-hosts.
He departed in 2015 while recuperating from back surgery in a split that was seen as less an amicable. “We tried to work with Bob for months, but we couldn’t hold ‘The Five’ hostage to one man’s personal issues,” said Bill Shine, who was then the network’s executive vice president of programming, in a statement at the time. “He took tremendous advantage of our generosity, empathy and goodwill and we simply came to the end of the road with him.”
But Beckel returned to Fox News in 2017 after doing a stint at CNN, and was greeted with open arms. “Bob was missed by many fans of ‘The Five’ and we’re happy to welcome him back to the show,” said Rupert Murdoch, executive chairman of Fox News Channel and its corporate parent, 21st Century Fox, in a prepared statement, in January.
Fox News’ human-resources department was made aware of a complaint about what one person familiar with the situation characterized as a “racially insensitive remark” on Tuesday evening. Executives conducted an internal investigation, this person said, and decided to part ways with Beckel Friday morning.

Rupert Murdoch and his left-wing, liberal. low life, Democrat, “Hate America”, sons have killed Fox News Channel!!! I have stopped watching FNC, and only watch FBN, Lou Dobbs and Charles Payne!!!

When putting someone out to pasture for good and all, just about any excuse looks acceptable. There is a regime change that has come to Fox, and its effects have some strange ripples.
Bob Beckel is a coarse, unrepentant word-heeler type of machine Democrat that was once the party’s mainstay in urban venues. But he is an anachronism and clearly out of his depth in the modern world.
IT guy comes in (who is black) and can’t use his computer or phone and says “I’m leaving because you are here” Perfect set-up for the snowflakes.
I’d rather have Beckel than Williams, but I guess that makes me raysiss.....
Beckel was so vehemently angry most of the time, I quit watching The 5. He HATED Trump and said awful things about him that were not true.. I could not stand him. When he was on America’s Voice back during the clinton impeachment hearings, I called in every time he was on... I put up a satellite dish to get news back then, and I did not want to hear CNN all over again after that expense. He is unbearable and not that bright.
Beckel is wrong about a lot of things, but he isn’t a racist.
Why don’t they fire Shep Smith for his fake journalism?
They were on the verge of firing Beckel before this. Kimberly was exasperated with him most every show. They could see he was damaging their ratings.

Beckel is a long time DemonCrap operative, who worked frequently at the highest levels of that evil entity, a place where black people abound. If he had that attitude, he'd have neither gotten there nor stayed there. Indeed, he's have never lasted at FNC, what with Juan Williams, and other black news personalities.
Looks like this is another part of the Islamocommunist jihad against FNC, a bit of poetic justice against Bob for feeding the DemonCrap beast for so long.
When Bob first came back he looked very drawn and when the close-ups revealed he had the shakes. He was obviously suffering from something. Now he has lost the drawn look and has put back on the weight to include being even more of a pain than he was before. KG does not like him at all and pretty much puts up with his crap. I suspect he came out of DT when he was just back and the weight gain can also be attributed to drinking again.
Do I think he did say something to that order? Yes, but in typical Beckel fashion, he can’t just be gracious or respectful.

Hah! I wonder if this is perceived vs. actually said. To tell a quick story that happened at my last job:
A woman I worked with called me over to file a complaint about a delivery guy. She indicated he was really rude and was a racist. Upon questioning the incident, he had apparently said the N-word.... However, when asked if he said it to her she replied:
“No, he didn’t say it to me but I know he thought it when he got back in his vehicle.”
I am sorry.... but what!? And that is just it, a fake offense by how they FEEL vs what really happen. My guess is Beckel might have left his office because his computer had an issue and was frustrated. The IT guy probably perceived it as him being a victim.
