You’ve GOT to be kidding.

Why not just appoint a poof? At least the sodomites would be happy.

Smart move, Mr. Trump. Newt will need to watch his phrasings while giving interviews. Newt is good to have on your side, but he can be very damaging when he wants to be. This tactic has worked somewhat on Mitch McConnell.

I am very disappointed that Newt does not have a prominent role in this administration. I believe Newt could have helped them avoid some of their unforced legislative errors.

Interesting tidbit from Wiki:

Callista Bisek met Newt Gingrich in 1993 when he was House Minority Whip and she was working in the office of Congressman Gunderson.[21] Callista testified in 1999 as part of Gingrich’s divorce proceedings that the couple began a six-year affair in 1993 while Newt was married to his second wife, Marianne.[22][23] Newt divorced Marianne in December 1999, and on August 18, 2000, Callista and Newt were married in a private ceremony in Alexandria, Virginia.[3] In 2002, Newt Gingrich asked the Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta to annul his 19-year marriage to Marianne on the basis that she had been previously married.[24] Callista, a lifelong Catholic, was instrumental in her husband’s conversion to that faith in 2009.[25] The Gingriches live in McLean, Virginia.[2]

After reading her profile on Wikipedia, I am not surprised. She is intelligent, and has numerous accomplishments. Interesting choice.

I think she is a good choice. She is a devout Catholic, and a sinner, and Newt converted to Catholicism. They are both sinners, but so are we all. The key is to not continue to sin, or at least commit the same sin, and try to live a life in service and thanks to God. I am good with this choice. I always like Newt. He is brilliant, and I would have loved to have seen him has a role as Secy of State or Chief of Staff considering all his years in Congress. But, he, like Trump, has a huge ego. And those two would clash.

I heard Hannity ask Newt about this rumor at least 3+ months ago. As I recall, Newt said it had been mentioned, but not offered, and that he would be excited about it if it was offered.

Given the passage of time, I’d hesitate to consider this anything other than a rumor at this point.
