Recent tests have shown that many 80s and 90s computerized vehicles are actually far more resistant to HERF and EMP events than previously thought. Seems the bodywork and early “we’re not really sure what kind of interference issues we’re going to have so double the shielding” designs are quite a bit better than had been anticipated.
