Exactly. You know and I know (and everybody knows) that if there was anything amiss about Trump's tax returns, the IRS would have come down on him like a ton of bricks.

Trump releasing his voluminous tax returns would be treated by the old stream media in the same manner that an anti-theist would treat a good Bible translation. He would take out some line completely out of context, and make it a headline, saying, “See? See? What an evil fraud!”

I don’t know if his tax returns are exactly pearls, but even if they are cubic zirconium, they shouldn’t be cast before swine.

Reminds me if the Army; General Schwarzkopf made a rule of no more arbitrary barracks room inspections in Europe "unless permission was given" because married soldiers lived out of barracks and didn't have to do that.

I had a dumb ol' sergeant for a while who always wanted to inspect my room (so he could harass me) but I wouldn't give him permission which frustrated him.

Well, a couple weeks before getting out the supply guy wanted some of my furniture so I let him have it all, moved out and buffed the floor. Empty shiny room. Next day I was walking past with Sergeant Bozo and had a thought.

"Hey, Sergeant you want to inspect my room? Here's the key."

His face lit up with joy and he rushed to open the door. Then I got to see his face go from shock to disappointment.
