Not cool. Just as a human courtesy, any one being fired should be privately informed first, before the street, office, media, etc. finds out. Just human decency.

Normally I would agree with you but look at what this guy did, not once but twice, Comey blindsided clinton. Of course I'm not sticking up for her but what he did could have been against Trump or any number of people we might support. It's a pattern he has. Now he knows what it feels like to be blindsided like that. I doubt this was an oversight.

There's something sleazy about Comey I can't quite put my finger on. He will probably run for some office or another. He likes being the center of attention for all the wrong reasons. I bet he runs as a dem too.

What about McCabe? Should he be fired too in your opinion? I think so but it will have to be done at some point down the road with evidence provided by his boss; probably whomever it is that takes Comey's place as FBI Director. McCabe is really dirty and a major dem operative. He can be counted on to the worst thing possible to Trump if he gets the chance. He's a 100 times worse than Comey IMHO.

I would love to see all these far left rabid government employee operatives pulled out by the root and removed from working at any capacity within the government and barred from working for any foreign country for a period of no less than 20 years upon penalty of 20 years in prison if they do. They have info that can compromise America.

Did you read in the letter Trump mentions,
‘Thanks for telling me three times I wasn’t under investigation’ or something like that.
I think this was intended to be memorable. Enough sparing their feelings/bruising their petals.
This was a “Get out.” Good.

I think the line, ‘Thanks for telling me three times I wasn’t under investigation’ was sarcasm on Trump's part. Trump probably thinks that there was no reason for him to be under investigation. I think Trump was really disgusted with Comey.

At least that's my take.

Why do you say he is a "political casualty"? If it were just politics Trump would have already fired him. My take is he was fired for incompetence and it would not have mattered about his politics. He did too many stupid things to stay on.

I don't think it was incompetence. I think it was treason.

Comey's been actively involved in the more than just protecting Hillary... he helped Obama spy on Trump by accepting that stupid "dossier" from McCain and using it to start the "investigation" that initially was supposed to arm Obama with something to stop Trump from winning. That failed, so Obama, Comey, et al doubled down and then tried to use the Russian story to terminate Trump's presidency.

Comey should go to prison.

Comey forfeited the right to courtesy quite some time ago, IMHO.

And if my guess is correct, probably gave precious minutes between the firing and him getting the news to get into his office and lock down everything they found there.

He was tightrope dancing, having to spell out the laws she broke, and then afterward saying he sees no reason to indict. That was as easy for him as old Papa Vandersloot getting interviewed on Aruba by Greta van Susteren. Old Papa didn’t live so long after that.
