I know an experienced airline captain who lost his job some years back. He flew jet charters for awhile. Then he commuted to South America to be an airline captain again. Then he commuted to Alaska to fly cargo out of there. Now he flies cargo on 747’s and he’s based close to home. That’s the life of a pilot.
Those who fly for Spirit know they are flying for a bottom of the barrel low cost airline. If they want a career there then they’ll have to put up with crap. They can move on and end up better with some sacrifice.
I’m building my hours with Frontier but then I also gain seniority. I’d hate to move and start over. I’m working up to captain some day.
