In the first part of last year, wealthy French home buyers were buying high $ propertties outside of France to bail out and leave France.
That slowed down after Trump won twice last year and after Brexit.
A couple, we know were trying sell their excellent home to downsize last year. They had a wealthy person from France who backed out of a deal after the Trump win and Brexit win.
After Macron’s win, the couple and their real estate agent were contacted by the potential customer. The buyer is now offering cash and a huge down payment if the current owners are out of their home by the 22 nd of this month and a close of escrow, two days later.
The current owners will get a nice bonus for getting out of their house and doing the above.
We have known the realtor for years. She and her peers feel that the wealthy French families, who don’t live in the Paris area are very worried and concerned about their country and their safety and personal wealth.
They will be opting out to sell and leave France before France becomes another Italy/Greece/Sweden.
She said there is no hope for those living in and around Paris. They are like the LA/SF/NYC elites, who will stay in their cities as they become third world cities.
