We already know that the Obama administration engaged in some verbal gymnastics to try and sell the Iranian nuclear deal to the American people in 2015. The New York Times reported last year that Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes helped push a "narrative" that Iran had adopted moderate policies so that the White House could gain support for the agreement. In reality, Iran was still in engaging in nefarious activity. The House Oversight Committee, led by Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), is digging deeper to try and discover just how the Obama White House manipulated the deal. The committee is reacting in direct response to a Politico report last month that suggested the Obama administration "hampered a much-touted federal law enforcement effort known as the National Counterproliferation Initiative at a time when it was making unprecedented headway in thwarting Irans illicit weapons proliferation activities."

They’ll get to the bottom of it when the pyramids erode away.
I used to get excited over these nothing-burger investigations. No one goes to jail, nor will they.
Yawn.
(hat tip Kenya Sunday Standard)

A Kenyan lawmaker told the nation's Parliament last month (March 2010) that Barack Obama was born in Africa and is therefore "not even a native American."
During debate over the draft of a new Kenyan constitution, James Orengo, the country's minister of lands and a member of parliament for the Ugenya constituency, cited America's election of a Kenyan-born president as an example of what can be accomplished when diverse peoples unite:
"If America was living in a situation where they feared ethnicity and did not see itself as a multiparty state or nation," Orengo posited, "how could a young man born here in Kenya, who is not even a native American, become the president of America?"
Orengo held up the U.S. as a country no longer "living in the past," since Americans elected a Kenyan-born president without regard to "ethnic consideration and objectives."
Debate is then recorded in the Kenyan government's official March 25, 2010, hansard a traditional name for printed transcripts of a parliamentary debate as continuing with no other MPs mentioning or attempting to correct Orengo's comments about Obama.
I want to know what is in the secret side deals; the release of which Iran said would be a basis to cancel the agreement. So far nothing from the Trump Administration.
Will there be an investigation into why Senator Bob Corker of Republican leadership, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, inserted his Corker Amendment into the process?
The Corker Amendment lowered the bar for the Iran deal to 1/3 vote needed for approval. It allowed nearly 2/3 of the US Senate to look good by voting against the Iran deal while giving Obama what he wanted.
Rush Limbaugh said on the radio that Corker enabled Obama’s Iran deal so companies like Boeing could do business with Iran (80 planes on order after deal approved).
How quickly the Russia fasade went right to a house committee with rats clamering and falling over each other to tell thier story, yet hillary the clinton foundation, bengahzi, email scandle, irs scandle, Obama’s iran deal get a back story and a possible investigation that never comes to pass with no results at all.
I suspect there were big kick backs on this deal.
#5 BUMP!
Thanks, Liz.
Yup, it’s all show. It makes me sick. This country has become a disgrace. It will never get better unless there is a purge.
waste of time...whatever happened to Fast and Furious??? NOTHING.
“... fasade...”
Facade.
The ‘c’ is pronounced lice an ‘s.’
Peace and God bless. I liked your post.
Me too. Beyond reelection of its members, Congress is increasingly an institution without a purpose.
Since representative law-making is the heart of republican government, it is fair to say the republic is on life-support.
