(CNN) - A California homeowner exercised his right to bear arms -- and take pictures -- after a group of people tried to break into his home.
Yan Zhang of Chino Hills was at home with his wife and children when five people tried to enter the house through a balcony in the back.
Zhang grabbed his gun, told his wife to hide the kids and then went to work.

In California it’s illegal to have a picture of a gun! This guy is in for big trouble.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here in Illinois, it’s illegal to even think about a gun.
Can’t put my finger on it but there seems to be a trend in that list of names.
Are “No Trespassing” (red letters on black background) signs OK?
Just “No Trespassing”, nothing more.
That’s why they say you should never have a “Beware of Dog” sign, it displays that you know your dog is potentially aggressive.
UNLESS, you don’t actually have a dog, then it’s a perfectly valid deterrent sign.
