The ones who shouldn’t be driving them will weed themselves out quickly in one vehicle accidents. There won’t be too many on the highways thankfully

Only the police should have vehicles this powerful...and automotive executives and professional drivers hired by the rich and government employees. Normal plebs aren’t capable of handling something like this.
One could repurpose it as a stump puller....
Around $100k, with 3000 or fewer available for a short time. It’s a PR stunt, as are attempts to ‘ban’ it.
Every lib who complains about the Demon should be tied to the front bumper of one as it roars through city streets at 140 mph. Didn’t shut him up? Do it again at 180 mph. Still didn’t shut him up? Repeat with me driving.
People dicking around with their cellphones is a far, far bigger risk. I run into those a$$holes every day, not these kinds of cars.
It’s a MAN car! That’s why women want it banned!!!!
This press release sounds like the kind of thing written in newspapers at the turn of the 20th century about those scary “automobiles.”
Great promotional stunt by Dodge.
The speed limit.
Sounds like a perfect car for a drive-by.
Perfect for the nice peope ( all Chinese women, as it happens) racing for that one closest parking space at Costco. Their lexuses are really not fast enough for this at 97 mph. ( of course, they give their Lexii a rest later on the highway where they poke along at only 16 mph. )
My brother and I are both Dodge muscle car fans.
My interests go all the way back to the ‘64 Sport Fury w/426 Max Wedge & 4-speed. I’ve got a couple of the late 60s/early 70s Dodge muscle cars in my possession plus a late model 392 SRT8 Challenger.
He recently purchased a new Hellcat Challenger.
Neither of us have a desire to outright own the new Demon (although I do have an original ‘72 Demon 340 4-spd), but both of us sure would LOVE to make a pass down the strip in one though....LOL
There is a horsepower war going on right now between he Big 3 and it’s pretty amazing what the factories are squeezing out of these new engines. BTW, there is a chip option “for track use only” for the new Demon that takes it well over 1000hp!
I’ll stick with my 392 SRT8, thank you. :)
No, it’s not the same at all. They want to ban this car because they think it is inherently unsafe. Not useful for it’s intended purpose. They try to ban “assault weapons” based on them having features that make them more useful for their intended purpose.
Sheesh! Even automotive columnists are now namby-pamby bed wetters. Must have been a journalism major.
