The scaffolding can’t be removed until the main building goes back up. Otherwise, there is no way in.

Past results (of the GOP in Congress) are valid indicators of future performance. This is the modern, political translation of “The Boy Who Cried Wolf”.

The Congressional GOP does not have all that long to prove their track record wrong.

And patience is only a virtue when gathering forces to move in the right direction. Wait until your opponent is fully prepared, and plan to fail in the (political) battle.

This would have been trashed had it originated from the D side of the aisle.

I still think this is the plan. The bill yesterday was just to delay so Trump can get on with his tax and budget plan. The bill will be rejected after the Senate makes it unworkable even to the Rino’s. Trump will let ObamaCare implode on it's own so the Pups can run on it's demise in 2018. The Rat's will still own ObamaCare.

I'm starting to think you're right. At least, I hope so.

I’m sorry, you miss the movement of forces that are even larger that government. You completely miss them.

Nope. Yesterday’s vote put this squarely on the republicans.

If we can’t unravel the left’s long march in 1 bill, we might as well do nothing. Great thinking, Charles.

You are correct but he needs to fix that by saying “This is all we could do right now with the RINO COWARDS we have in office”

I am losing confidence in him.

Here’s the problem. TRUMP CAN’T FIRE HOUSE AND SENATE MEMBERS who stand in his way or don’t achieve his objectives. They are separate but equal bodies. So he needs to lead them to the goal. We were told he would and had the talent to do so. And so far he hasn’t done such a good job of doing that.

that simply doesn’t ring true. and, it flies in the face of the history of this god forsaken thing. aca was a lie from the moment is was born. it was built on a lie, it was passed dishonestly and in secret, it was protected with lies, and, now that the republicans are unraveling it, they will be attacked with lies.

we need to get our heads right about what’s about to come at us, and whistling past the graveyard is NOT the smart play.

Like this one, some conservatives say it’s a disaster - only slightly better than ObamaCare, others say that it’s a significant first-step victory; a positive, incremental change toward free markets.

When the dust settles it'll probably be somewhere in between. Probably far closer to disaster than to free market, but there is no way this is going to live up to all the hype from the administration and Congress.

“As usual these days, it was President Trump who had the sharpest and most farsighted political instincts on the whole matter when he said Republicans would be better off just letting Obamacare collapse of its own weight.

“Nope. Yesterday’s vote put this squarely on the republicans.

I have to disagree. Now the Dem's will have to again show their praise for ObamaCare. Just look at Shumer today. They are playing the same old playbook. Rep's/Trump are killing people especially seniors and children. Just watch, their bill will only provide more government support to prop up ObamaCare as it exists.

It won't fly with Rep's or Trump. The bill will die and ObamaCare will implode on it's own.

All the lies in the world — and even many unpleasant things that were true — didn’t stop Trump from winning in 2016. If the GOP can’t deal with a tiresome, predictable Marxist propaganda campaign then ought to go jump off a bridge somewhere.

Ah, so true... there’s the fantasy world and then there’s this often inconvenient real world that God has plopped us down into.

Yep - years ago my wife described it perfectly for those who have idealistic dreams and hopes but who keep getting slapped with reality - "We are spiritual beings having a Human experience".

Some folks concentrate so much on the flawed Human bit that they not only forget the spiritual aspects, they think that their own personal Human desires outweigh everything else. The dictionary lists them under "Unhappy".

It doesn’t matter what us conservatives think or what society likes or wants. It is fully and totally unconstitutional for the government to be involved in ANY aspect of health insurance period end of story. Now we either fold the tents (which is what they want) or we keep fighting to return the government back to its original roots. They can repeal the whole thing but they don’t want to because the repuklican repulsive party IS THE PARTY OF BIG GOVERNMENT
