Dem Senator Calls for Special Prosecutor to Investigate Huma Abedin

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) appeared on MSNBC's “Morning Joe” on Thursday to discuss the news from Wednesday's James Comey hearing. More specifically, the topic was the FBI director revealing that longtime Hillary Clinton advisor Huma Abedin forwarded classified emails to then-husband Anthony Weiner, ostensibly so he could print them out.

“Do you believe that is a crime?” panelist Willie Geist asked to open the Blumenthal interview. “If there was classified information and it was improperly passed to a person unauthorized to receive it? Yes, it’s a crime,” the senator replied. ”Without knowing what the intentions were and so forth, there is potentially a prosecutable crime."

“Me either but a Democrat just said that what she is accused of would be a crime. That is the first I have heard any Democrats say such.”

It’s why so many of us hate the double standards of politicians. They typically cover for their own, not others. Who cares what Party they are from, if their ethics and actions are corrupt and illegal? If so we must put them on trial with a jury and determine their guilt, and if guilty give them twice the sentence Joe non-elite average would receive.

“Not really. He gives the comey caveat about intent.”

That caveat does nothing to block the Attorney General and the dept. of Justice from indicting somebody.

FBI is merely one organization reporting to the AG, BTW.

Just logically....how does anyone not know it’s a crime to forward classified information to an unauthorized computer?

No, what this is, I believe, is they’ve found/manufactured links from her to the Awan Bros, whom they can hang every misdeed from HRC *AND* exonerate the 50 house RATS, putting them back to warming the dem bench.

They could even manufacture the Awans as Seth Rich’s killer, and the DNC seller/leaker of Podesta. Whole slew of birds stoned with this route, AND force Pakistan to turn them over.

I have no respect for Blumenthal. He embellished his service record on numerous occasions only to get elected. Too bad that embellishment is never clawed back.

You know Jeff Sessions is the AG. He may convene a grand jury and try criminals. He does not need Comey to do anything.

If Comey retards investigation, fire him and/or outsource investigations

In May 2010, The New York Times reported that Blumenthal said in a 2008 speech, “We have learned something important since the days that I served in Vietnam.”

But as the Times reported, Blumenthal did not actually serve in Vietnam as he suggests there. Instead, he received five military deferments from 1965 to 1970. The Times also noted that Blumenthal took repeated steps to avoid going to Vietnam.

Instead, Blumenthal served in the Marine Reserve beginning in 1970, joining a unit in Washington and working on projects like fixing campgrounds and organizing toy drives.
