This article is garbage. I live in this archdiocese, and there is no “ban”. The Archbishop stated that the official policy of the archdiocese is to deemphasize parish-related GS troops, with an accompanying shift toward Heritage Girls troops.

The language of the headline and article is inflammatory, and reminds me very much of the type of writing I expect to see in the Washington Post - not from Townhall.

The left indoctrinates young skulls full of mush by infiltrating our schools and youth organizations such as the Girl Scouts. We know in an open debate the left never wins. How many libs can articulate their ideology's whacked out positions without resorting to name calling or denigrating the other side in some way? They can't do it so this is how they keep their ideas alive. They get in positions of authority where they can pollute young and naive Americans with their garbage. Sadly, it's​ still effective. I’m not affiliated with American Heritage Girls...much. My daughter is a leader of a troop and I lead the Boys counterpart, Trail Life USA.

But, in case you’re interested, AHG does a fundraiser too. Chocolate bars from Heart and Soul Candies. I’m not a big candy guy, but these bars are incredibly good and can be ordered online.

About time.Years ago I called my last parish because my daughter wanted to join and told them they were pro-death.They did nothing so we formed our own group and had lot’s of fun.Son stayed in Boy Scouts back then it was OK and he liked it.
