In an unprecedented move, the Chinese Embassy in North Korea has advised Korean-Chinese residents to return home amid concern that the North’s military provocations may trigger a U.S. attack on the North.

The Korea Times reports that the embassy began sending the message on Apr. 20, five days before the North celebrated the 85th anniversary of the Korean People’s Army with a show of military power, according to Radio Free Asia (a U.S.-based station specializes in North Korea).

The station cited a Korean-Chinese living in the North’s capital, who said he left for China late last month after the embassy contacted him. He said he has been visiting China every two to three months but, after being told he should “stay in China for a while,” left North Korea a month early.

“The embassy has never given such a warning. I was worried and left the country in a hurry,” said the man, whose name was withheld.

Looks like China is upholding its end of the deal they made with President Trump. The has to make little Kim a tad nervous.

Smart man. Better to be home than stuck in another country or being even many miles away in event of things going hot.

We’re closer to an apocalyptic war or collapse than I’d thought. China can’t have any love for fat boy to put them in such a difficult position.

Without Chinese fuel...I would take a guess that they have no more than a sixty day stock existing. By the end of May, very little will be moving. This, in the end, might destabilize the country more than the threat of military action. If they did try to go out on the market and find more fuel...you’d need more cash and I doubt that they could fund more than a couple of months of this before going broke.

All China has to do is inform Kim’s inner circle in no uncertain terms that if he detonates a nuclear weapon or tries to position one as an existential threat to the US, Japan or Korea, there will be a ferocious attack by the US and that inner circle will lose everything. If they survive they will become impoverished and imprisoned. Those guys are not stupid and will not die for Kim despite all the public posturing. Look for a quick and bloody coup in North Korea. The trick is to let the inner circle know they will be rewarded if they do the right thing.

China has stopped buying the Norks coal as well. So they probably are having issues with hard currency too.

If we can choose an ally - I choose China.

The inner circle is already sitting pretty. They aren’t going to jeopardize that with “promises” from the US and China of power , wealth, fame, or whatever. They don’t believe us.

Chocolate Cake Diplomacy must be some pretty magic stuff. It was a smart move for Trump to invite Jinping to his ‘home’. So far, it’s paying off in spades.

Count me in on that. In recent history, China has been smarter than America in in several ways. Including how they deal with threats to their nation - lethally and without hesitation. There’s a reason they don’t have Occupy groups pooping on cop cars or inner city riots by unemployable blacks.

Don’t the North Koreans have a massive counterfeiting operation?

8 years with Obama didn’t help. And Bush was too wish washy. So there’s 16 years right there.

How long ago was it that Madeline Albright was there doing toasts with these freaks.
