Complete Headline: A floral flop! Caroline Kennedy models a VERY unflattering dress on the Met Gala red carpet - just hours after being hailed by Vogue as one of the 'best dressed of all time'
Caroline Kennedy is known for her classic sense of style and fashionable know-how, so it came as quite a shock to see the diplomat take to the red carpet at this year's Met Gala in a highly unflattering - and rather bizarre - dress that quite closely resembled an antique lampshade.
The 59-year-old, a close friend of Met Gala chair Anna Wintour, arrived at the star-studded event in the bizarre layered gown, which featured three different floral patterns, each printed on their own poofy layer of fabric.
Caroline's bulky dress, which totally swamped her figure, fell at mid-calf height and left her arms completely concealed, an element which simply added to the peculiarity of the overall look.

I agree that many people have suffered tremendous tragedy in their lives and that a lot of Kennedy’s do not deserve blanket deference because of their family tragedies. But little Caroline will always be remembered as the child in the eye of a great national tragedy and since that time she has not crossed a line of political conflict as have so many other Kennedy’s as well as other political offspring.
She’s wearing some sort of dress that appears to some as an object of ridicule. It is not a political statement. She has behaved well as did her late younger brother. Caroline and John Jr. were never on the inside of the Kennedy clan, they were not castouts but they were always an arm’s length because of their mother’s disdain for certain members of the Kennedy clan.
I’ll stick with my original position to lay off Caroline. I only agree with President Trump that she was not qualified to be Ambassador to Japan because President Trump wants all his ambassadors to be shark negotiators for the benefit of the American people. But still Caroline behaved well nonetheless.
