McCain calls Trump’s comments about dictators ‘disturbing’

Sen. John McCain called President Trump’s praise of dictators around the world “disturbing” on Tuesday. “It’s very distributing. It’s disturbing because we’re proud Republicans, and we stand for human rights,” Mr. McCain told MSNBC. The Arizona Republican said he is still supportive of Mr. Trump’s military and foreign policy decisions and has confidence in the team of national security advisers, despite the president’s recent comments. “When the president does his job such as the cruise missile strike, such as selecting a national security team that is the strongest that I’ve seen, such as many of the actual actions he has taken, I will be strongly supportive,” Mr. McCain said. But he did add that he wished Mr. Trump would be more “careful” with what he says about leaders like North Korea’s Kim Jong-un and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

It’s disturbing because we’re proud Republicans...

And I look at what you've done to the GOP and I am so very disappointed in you and the rest of the spineless GOP. Grow a pair and do what's right for US, not get you re-elected.

Constantly saying things are disturbing is just childish. If he disagrees he should articulate the reason in a substantive way and stop emoting.

It’s disturbing that McCain has so much company wanting to abandon the rule of law and surrender the country to illegal aliens and their employers with amnesty.

Alexander, Corker, Flake, Graham, Hatch, Heller, Hoeven, Murkowsky and Rubio all voted for the Gang of Amnesty bill.

More would have if their votes were needed.

Burr, Tillis, Portman, McConnell, Thune, Cornyn, Cochran, Isackson,Blunt, Johnson, Gardner, Toomey, Capito, Fischer, Collins, Wicker are all Cheap Labor Express Republicans.

If you want to end the invasion and restore the rule of law, you need to stop electing people just because they wear an R jersey.

I find it disturbing that McCain is still breathing. He's passed his expiration date. 😁

When Trump says nice things about another leader, he is negotiating. Nothing more, nothing less.

With regard to Kim, Trump is offering "face" to Kim and Xi.

After that fails (and if China does nothing), we are going to attack North Korea with overwhelming force.

That will show dumbass McCain what Trump truly thinks of Kim Jong-Un.

McCain should stop watching the FAKE news who lied about what Trump said. He never said, as reported, that it would be an honor to meet the dictator. He said it would be an honor to negotiate a peace or something - totally misreported by the corrupt media.

I really dislike poorly written articles like this. Nowhere does it say what Trump said that has Juan’s panties in a knot. After doing a bit of research, it seems as though Juan is upset about statements the President made on Face the Nation on Sunday.

From the Blaze:
_____________
Snip
President Donald Trump called North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un “a pretty smart cookie” during an interview that aired Sunday on CBS News’ “Face The Nation.”

During the interview, host John Dickerson asked Trump what he thinks about the ruler of the Hermit Kingdom.

“I have — I really, you know, — have no comment on him,” Trump said. “People are saying, ‘Is he sane?’ I have no idea. I can tell you this, and a lot of people don’t like when I say it, but he was a young man of 26 or 27 when he took over from his father, when his father died. He’s dealing with obviously very tough people, in particular the generals and others.”

Trump said Kim Jong Un, now 33, “was able to assume power” at “a very young age.”

“A lot of people, I’m sure, tried to take that power away, whether it was his uncle or anybody else, and he was able to do it,” Trump said. “So obviously, he’s a pretty smart cookie.”
______________
I’d hardly call that “praise”, but rather calling it as he sees it.

McCain, you’re an idiot. Please go away.
