“In the face of an accuser, who has since walked back her charges against Sean Hannity, I would like to tell you about the guy I’ve come to know over the last 15 years. I first met Sean Hannity when he and I were doing our shows on several of the same Clear Channel stations. We were on a panel discussion together and when we exited the stage he introduced himself to me and asked about my program.
I have frequently been in the company of national talent, who rarely acknowledges the presence of anyone else. Sean is a refreshing exception. He really does take a genuine interest in others.
I was thrilled when I was invited to be his first female guest host during that time, and I continue to fill-in to this day. I appreciate that he makes opportunities for, and encourages those in whom he believes. I’ve seen Hannity show the same consideration to, and professional interest in, both men and women alike.
What is remarkable about Sean is his ability to juggle so many friendships. He makes every one of his friends feel as though they are the most valued friend he has. He’s never made us feel we could not approach him for advice or direction.
Members of my radio audience always ask me the same question; “Is Sean Hannity really as nice as he appears to be?”.
When I shared with Sean that I get this question a lot he seemed truly surprised. He’s surprised, he says, because he is the same guy that you see in a grocery store, a diner or on Fox News. He is who he is. He is definitely a “what you see is what you get” kind of guy.
Over the past 15 years I have had the opportunity to appear on Sean’s TV show as well. There are a lot of beautiful women who come in and out of those studios. I have never seen Sean treat those women with anything but professional respect and congeniality. As a woman I notice these things and respect and appreciate that kind of consideration.
When I hear, bad things said about a good person, I go full Merle Haggard; “You’re Walking on the Fightin’ Side of Me”.
I feel blessed to have met Sean and to have the opportunity to work with him. Unfortunately, it is not often one meets someone with the level of integrity, the loyalty to friends, and the desire to help others that Sean possesses.
I guess you could say that Sean is the personification of the “Regular Guy” – the “Common Man”. In truth, though, in a world of back-biting and raging egos, he is actually the Uncommon Man”
