But when Beyonce, Katy Perry, and Jay Z make the exact same gesture, it is interpreted as “666” (The three fingers are each a “stem” of the number six, while the circles are all stacked where the thumb and forefinger touch)
I always thought it meant “A-OK!” or some such thing.
However, i have a hand gesture for the left that bears no ambiguity as to its meaning.
Any way an unfavored person holds his hands or his mouth is a “White Power” sign or a NAZI or KKK symbol. Actually what makes the sign is the identification of the offender as one of “them.” Given that the person is not on the Left anything he does or says is a symbol of whatever designated evil entity comes to mind.

In Brazil, at least years ago, it meant that you were a homosexual seeking a hook-up. The sign showed up in a Steve McQueen movie, producing much laughter in the audience.
In Brazil that means something totally different

Actually, since they mirror, they are together spelling “kook”
Looks more it means Washington Post.
You do have to be careful what hand gestures you use when traveling. It's a good idea to read up on these before you go.
