This article proves once again why the Slimes doesn't dare print the truth.

the Times decided to publish a column that is contrary to much of the modern-day scientific consensus on the dangers of global warming. You mean...(gulp)...the truth?

Honest debate - such an old fashioned notion!
The big liberal cities and liberal states are well on their way to being gigantic safe-spaces for close minded libtards who cannot bear to hear a dissenting thought or a new idea.

Bret Stephens, a notable denier of anthropogenic climate change APOSTATE!!!!
He must be burned at the stake for committing Sacrilege!
The ferocity of the backlash is further proof that anthropomorphic global warming has become a religion.
Any pretense of AGW being science is long gone for any dispassionate observer.

Scientific truth has become whatever fits the opinion of what the majority want to believe. This is the definition of a religion where truth is accepted on faith without the validity that comes from proof.
Can anyone tell me what are the sacraments of the Environweenie Religion?

I wish that instead of fighting the liberals on this conservatives would just say “you’re right, that’s why we need more nuclear power plants.”
To: Zakeet
Leftards are truly depraved and dishonest. Whatever one thinks of these issues or of Stephens, it is simply a LIE that he "denies" the existence of "anthropogenic climate change" -- he questions some of the alleged MAGNITUDE and alleged CERTAINTIES claimed by the propagandists, but he simply is NOT...

This is hilarious - liberals destroying their own. I guess the only acceptable news sources will be Mother Jones, HuffPo and Daily Kos.
It really does crystalize the mainstream liberal view that the only protected acceptable speech is one that toes the party line. Personally I’ve always felt that the best way to win your battle in the court of public opinion is to prove your case with facts and logic, rather than outlaw your opponents views.

You mean, you mean like they can’t stand the first amendment, or is it the second, wait, maybe the sixth? What is the sixth anyway? Like, like any of these poltroons have ever read it. Man I hate that word.........like you know what I mean? Midget, listening with your garb on?

The ferocity of the global warming cultists indicates just how many people, companies and indeed countries have sunk megabucks into it being real. If they can’t make the rubes buy it, they’re screwed.
To: Zakeet
Oops, they’re reporting more sides to a story than we want to hear. There’s only one side—our side. The only truth we need to know is what we make ourselves.

That long-winded, 7-word descriptor applies to most FReepers who mock the environazis.
If it weren’t so tedious and seemingly non-sensical, I’d adopt it proudly as a label.

Wow.
I read the title of this post and I imagined something 180 degrees opposite of what it turned out to be...
The part I did not understand is that my assumption meant that there were still some sane NYT subscribers. As it turned out - nope, no sane NYT subscribers - just an Op-Ed that was 180 degrees out of phase with one would normally expect to read in the NYT.

this is nothing new, subscriptions have been plummeting for years now.
the only people who subscribe to the ‘failing’ NYT are people older than 70 and politicians or similar gov’t parasites
