Oh noes, how is the U.S. media going to find a way to spin this? It was only a matter of time. President Trump and Secretary Tillerson played out the global strategy perfectly.
By assembling international allies in a coalition of influence, specifically by pulling China into a close relationship with President Trump, Russia has been cast into a brutally diminished role. Secretary Tillersons exceptionally well received visit to the U.N. Security Council yesterday appears to have been the final straw....
(Reuters) Moscow is ready to cooperate with the United States on settling the Syrian crisis, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Saturday, Russian news agencies reported.
Russian authorities reiterate periodically that they stand ready to renew cooperation with Washington on Syria and, more globally, on fighting terrorism.
Relations between the two countries, however, are seen reaching another low after U.S. fired missiles at Syria to punish Moscows ally for its suspected use of poison gas earlier in April. Russia condemned the U.S. action.
Lavrovs deputy Mikhail Bogdanov also said on Saturday that Russian authorities hope that Syrian armed opposition will take part in Syria peace talks in Kazakhstans Astana on May 3-4, Interfax reported. (link)

Other than the dupe police, I hadn’t seen this before and it sounds like good news. Putin needs to maintain the perception of “Russia First” and strength that has put him where he is and restored the confidence of the Russian people, so despite the bluster he really does not want or need a confrontation with a stronger power and it’s equally strong and similarly motivated leader. Through diplomacy I am confident a way will be found to resolve the Syrian situation that it acceptable to both.
But the article he quotes even says Russia has been stating this on a regular basis for some time...
Russia needs help carving the Turkey. Erdogan is out of control and bombing Syrian towns.
Russia Blinks Lavrov Says: Russia Ready To Cooperate with U.S. on Syria...
When a nation shows a willingness to work with you, you don't use insulting terms to thank them.
You make it clear you appreciate their willingness to work with you.
We want more of this. You don't get that by making their leadership feel like they are chumps for doing what we want.
May 3? is that on a Wednesday? (I love Winning Wednesdays!)
The Russians have been saying that for a long time
In fact that’s been used as evidence they tried to “ hack the election” and co opt Donald Trump through his campaign advisirs Boris and Natasha
Turkey is not Putin’s turkey, it’s our turkey
However we might need Russia to help tame Erdogan because he does not have to be PC about it and the Kurds have already done so
Have you noticed almost every news story about Russia is negative insulting or alarmist? The democrats and their party- pwned corporate media continue relentlessly to try and make Russia an evil empire that stole the US election from Hillary Clinton in the greatest unprovable crime in free world history
Folks say RT is a govt run propaganda media as if ours was a free independent fair press
