Interesting ship. The French built a couple for sale to Russia. However, the sale was suspended/cancelled due to the Ukraine situation. So two were sold to Egypt.

.........well, can’t help but comment on this one. “Sasebo”, where I lived 2 years of my life is ONLY home to a tiny Japanese Naval presence. 90% of the Naval Facility is U.S. Navy. I get so tired of the libs around the world denigrating the US while boosting other nations. It’s like sport!
That said, the 2 years I spent there were great fun for a 21 year old kid.
