On Tuesday, Turkey bombed the headquarters of Kurdish fighters in northern Syria, killing 20 of our soldiers. Immediately after the strike, the leaders of our forces known as the Peoples Protection Groups, or YPG rushed from their operations center near Raqqa, where theyve been working with the U.S. military to push the Islamic State out of its Syrian stronghold, to view the site of the attack. The American colonel and other officers who accompanied the YPG leaders were met by tens of thousands of protesters, including the mothers of soldiers who have died fighting the Islamic State. They asked the Americans a simple question: How is it possible that our soldiers are fighting with you against ISIS while your ally Turkey is attacking us here?
Ilham Ahmed is an incredible lady. This is a great article, she wrote. I'm still in disbelief that the WAPO actually printed it. Not under any illusion that this means they have switched to pursuing the truth internally.
Here is the link on Twitter where I found the article connected to the Washington Post.

Ilham Ahmed in WAPO?
The Turks just made the case, on an international stage, for Kurdish independence.
Yes
That is exactly what the Turks are fighting against. They have consistently supported ISIS rather than the Kurds. We, of course, will throw the Kurds under the bus as we have for generations. Sorry I said “we.” I and most Americans would not support this policy if they knew the details.
