Tesla Inc is recruiting engineers from Mexico to work on robotics and other automated equipment at its California factory, according to LinkedIn postings viewed by Reuters, part of a hiring push to ready the plant for mass production of the upcoming Model 3.
A recruiting poster published on LinkedIn by Tesla's senior technical recruiter, David Johnson, listed 15 types of engineers the company would be seeking at a May 5-8 recruiting event in Monterrey, Mexico.
Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment on its Mexico hiring plans.

I suppose they have visas already.
How much are they going to pay those engineers? $20,000 per year? If it is 100K that would be in pesos.
What’s wrong with the Mexican Engineers already living in CA?
Friggin Bigots.
Two words that do not go together...”Mexico” and “Engineering”
Teals gets a LOT money from the US Government why is he looking in Mexico for engineers?
Do you have any idea what it costs to live on the west side of Los Angeles? Condos in a reasonable neighborhood start at about $700K. Unless your willing to live over an hour or two away it’s a non-starter for most kids coming out of college. Maybe Elon thinks Mexican engineers are willing to live in the LA ghettos with their peeps and scrape by.
Not too long ago Tesla was building a new design center for their plant in Fremont (Calif):
They brought in a guy from Croatia not so sweep/clean up but to help DESIGN AND BUILD that new center. Well, it turned out the labor subcontractor had him working maybe 70 hours per week there at Tesla FOR FIVE DOLLARS PER HOUR..!
DESIGNING AND BUILDING.
He fell, was hurt and the subcontractor was trying to hustle him out of the country.
It was a scandal there in Fremont about 18 months ago.
South African guy...
studies in Canada...
moves to America...
to hire engineers from MEXICO...
to go to Mars..???
lol
Yeah that will work out well
Bwahahaha
Make my 100000 dollar car burst into flames..... gracias
If Tesla wants Mexican engineers, then, Tesla can go to Mexico and forego any U.S. subsidies.
Yup.
