The group of conservative hardliners known as the House Freedom Caucus has officially lost two members since it came under fire for sinking the GOP healthcare bill last month.
Rep. Brian Babin's (R-Texas) spokesman, Jimmy Milstead, confirmed on Thursday that the Texas Republican had recently left the Freedom Caucus.
When President Obama came to office, we had to try to stop his socialist agenda. And I thought the Freedom Caucus was a great place to do that, Babin said.
Now we have the opportunity of a lifetime with President Trump in there and his conservative agenda. We have control of both houses of Congress, so we must make the best use of our opportunity.

START JAILING DEMOCRATS AND YOU’ll GET A LOT MORE COOPERATION~!
(for REAL crimes, there is more than enough- we are not Democraps, who have to make things up...)
Who knows what’s really going on with these people.
In any case, it seems clear the “freedom” caucus has little to no ability to advance freedom for Americans.
Wants to save Obamacare.
Has to either vote for the new repel/replace plan or quit the HFC.
Ssince the HFC voted by over 80% to support the bill all members have to support it.
I’m just shaking my head...I don’t know what is going on, unless RINO RYAN is putting so much pressure on them that they are all going to quit...
RINO RYAN is in Tom Donahue’s hip pocket and then he has his own super pacs and lobbyists that write the bills for him, he doesn’t do this himself and to keep his seat and position he has to do what they tell him, well ENOUGH is ENOUGH of the game playing...
Either we have a Country or we don’t...why Wisconsin put him back into office is beyond me...maybe we need to dig his dirt and start making it public, along with the rest of the RINO’s and those that don’t care about this Country...
I only know that Our President cares about America and Her people and they are doing everything on this earth to stop him and that has to STOP!!!
Someone is putting a serious squeeze on the family jewels of some Freedom Caucus members.
Rightfully so. FULL REPEAL!
Hmm - he no longer believes in freedom?
The HFC has already said they're on board with this new version of the bill, so you're behind the times...
They are outnumbered, but it's worth noting that the new healthcare plan the Freedom Caucus will get will be better than the one the Freedom Caucus rejected.
So it was all pretend opposition to D-socialism? R-socialism is OK?
How about the Freedom Caucus renames themselves the “Keeping Our Oath of Office Caucus”?
There are ‘votes’ and there are ‘votes’.
They voted to support Ryan for Speaker, but not by 80%.
They don’t always enforce that rule of their’s.
Not sure they will on this.
Really, this guy just sounds like someone who wanted to vote conservative- as long as it didn’t matter.
We don’t want an Obamacare with cancerous growths.
We don’t want a version of Obamacare that only a camel lover could like.
We need to allow insurers to craft plans that offer good value. This means no coverage mandates for any particular treatment or drug.
If Aetna was required by federal law to buy my house, my next house would cost as much as Versailles.
“lobbyists that write the bills for him”
I knew these Republican’ts couldn’t write a bill, so I crafted a plan that offers the greatest freedom consistent with the need for subsidies and occasional extraordinary mandatory issue periods.
Version 4.6:
http://www.freerepublic.com/~briangriffin/
no employer or individual mandates or fines
Drug coverage and health care service coverage would have separate subsidies.
The federal monthly care subsidy base amount for a US citizen age 23 and over would be:
(age factor*$30) - (normally attainable annual income estimate**2/20000*(105-3*age factor))
[At age 64, the maximum subsidy would be $439.20/month and eligibility would end at $24,187/year.]
[At age 40, the maximum subsidy would be $142.80/month and eligibility would end at $16,432/year.]
[At age 26, the maximum subsidy would be $83.25/month and eligibility would end at $13,145/year.]
The federal monthly drug subsidy base amount for a US citizen at least 26 years of age would be:
(age bracket multiplier*$8) - (normally attainable annual income estimate**2/20000*(350-10*age bracket multiplier))
[At age 64, the maximum would be $116.76/month and eligibility would end at $21,909.]
[At age 26, the maximum would be $27.82/month and eligibility would end at $14,085.]
Square-law falloff subsidies are used instead of linear falloff subsidies to better serve lower income recipients.
extraordinary mandatory issue open season - every 4 years, exchange only
employer tax credits for optional annual open seasons
no coverage mandates - only federal subsidy reductions based on coverage limits & co-pay/co-insurance/deductibles:
The monthly care subsidy amount of a person shall be:
(monthly care subsidy base amount of a person)*
(the persons plan care scope factor*the persons policy financial quality factor)/10000
state PPACA Medicaid expansion contributions 10% -> 28%,
(or block grants, on a 80/20 [and 70/30] federal/state matching basis)
[No more after provider-paid tax free rides for high tax states like California or New York.]
hospital block grants to help exceptional cases with premium payments
80% maximum federal subsidies, except via hospital block grants
loss ratio tax on non-employer plans
small premium increases possible in case of insurer need
My plan would have drug coverage other than grandfathered PPACA plans on a coverage provider negotiated basis.
My federal drug marketplace will enable drug makers to easily offer reasonable, income-based drug prices to consumers.
I can’t help but think that Romney et al are behind every move Ryan is making!!!
