It’s “ethically inappropriate” for government and medical organizations to describe breastfeeding as “natural” because the term enforces rigid notions about gender roles, claims a new study in Pediatrics.
“Coupling nature with motherhood… can inadvertently support biologically deterministic arguments about the roles of men and women in the family (for example, that women should be the primary caretaker,” the study says.

Beyond that point, the article is very much more confused than just over academic disciplines. Sex roles are biologically determined. Every rational person understands that; understands, also, that in the higher forms of life, sex roles are of preeminent importance.
The article is just one more illustration of the fact that Leftist theory is now, and has been since its earliest manifestations, a war on reality.
I certainly recognize the comedy value of pieces like this. The tragedy is that there are actually academics so confused as to take this as a rational point of view. They belong in the Academy that Dean Swift describes in some detail in Gulliver's voyage to Laputa. (I recommend its insights into the Leftist Academic mind.)
We apparently exist as pure energy, and just play around with various sexes and orientations and physical forms for our own amusement. :)

Then explain why the Republican party hasn’t repealed ObamaCare, or even attempted to as-a-whole. Explain why ALL the Republican party senators, save Mr. Cotton, voted *FOR* the Iran Deal.
Last week there was a similar article that said labeling breastfeeding natural might lead mothers to positions that embrace antivaxing, herbal remedies, and homeschooling, all of which removed the mothers from the influence of the medical establishment.
The liberal/Progressives/Democrat mental illness is rapidly spreading. Un-freaking believable.

When 0bama was first elected, Republicans said we need to get back into power. We gave them the House. Then they said we need the Senate. We gave them the Senate. Then they said they needed the Presidency. We gave it to them, AND the SCOTUS. It is not the Republican Party, which can and does win. It is the RINOs like McConnell and Ryan who are the problem.
Implicit in their argument is that people are under some obligation to not support “biologically deterministic arguments about the roles of men and women in the family”.
These people are simply no longer even attempting to appear rational.
